We purchased this coffee maker for our cabin and only needed a basic unit. Love this one and it produces the same great coffee as our more expensive Cuisinart coffee maker at the house. Not sure why people are having trouble getting water into the machine. I’m guessing they are measuring the water in the carafe and pouring into the machine - there is an issue getting all the water out of the carafe this way. I use a Brita water filter and fill to the markings on the water reservoir. No problem!
